Many people derided the movie in which Halle Berry acted in. While the movie Catwoman is not without its problems, Ms. Berry is an actress with great distinction. She has:

• Won the Academy Award for Best Actress (Monster's Ball, 2001), the first African-American actress ever to do so.
• Been a "Bond girl" who turns out to be the agent's equal (Die Another Day, 2002).
• Played a Marvel Comic action figure (Storm) in the movies X-Men (2000) and X2 (2003). She is scheduled to repriese this role in X3, due in 2006.

Halle Berry did receive favorable comment for her role as Catwoman (not to mention her outfit). She also was paid $14 million for the role. A spokesperson for Revlon cosmetics, Ms. Berry is the highest-paid African-American actress in Hollywood.
