Catwoman: Copycat (2006)

UK Catwoman fan film stars Amber Moelter

Film director Colin Blakestone informed us on 24 January 2005 that he was working on a fan film, Catwoman: Copycat. Filming has finished on this project, and the film is due to be released on the Internet sometime in the future.

This film stars South Dakota native Amber Moelter as the Feline Fatale. The plot summary reads:

Catwoman is the best cat burglar in Gotham City and everybody knows it. When a sloppy amateur begins hitting her favorite targets she wants to know why. The search for answers leads her on an action-packed prowl through the city - and into a surprising confrontation with Batman!

According to the official Web site:

Catwoman: Copycat is an action-packed five minute film, born from a collaboration between a filmmaker and a fan-fiction author. Starring Amber Moelter as the sexy feline-fatale, it is currently in post production and will be released as a free download for PC, Mac, Ipod, PSP & Mobile Phones.

Judging from the advance word, this may be the Catwoman movie Catfans want, not the 2004 version!

The movie was filmed in early 2005 in Hull, England. The catsuit used here is similar to the one Michelle Pfeiffer used in Batman Returns (1992), though with alterations. The material is certainly more durable, since it apparently did not break the way Ms. Pfeiffer's did. Stay tuned for further updates as they become available.
