Fourth anniversary of her passing on 17 August
Saturday, 17 August marks the fourth anniversary of the passing of actress Yvonne Craig, who played Batgirl in Season 3 of the 1966 Batman series. The actress, who had been a fixture on the comic con circuit in recent years, had died from cancer.
We had a chance to meet her twice in 2006, first in Detroit, then in Syracuse. In the course of our visits, especially with the latter city, we also met her manager, her younger sister Meridel Carson. Yvonne was a real delight to be with, and we miss her terribly today.
