Kathy Kane gets her own series
Batwoman, starring Ruby Rose in the title role, debuted on the CW network on 6 October 2019. The series, part of the “Arrowverse” (as in the Green Arrow series), opened to its fair share of negative responses, in part because of a perception that the show was overly feminist.
The show reminds one of the 2002-2003 series Birds of Prey, and Rachel Skarsten had roles in both productions. In the former, she was one of the heroes, but in the latter she’s the major antagonist as Alice.
In spite of the negative reviews, the show has been renewed for a second season (2020-2021).
