Once again, the Feline Fatale from Batman Returns has another birthday!
Michelle Pfeiffer, who played the female lead in the 1992 movie, was born 29 April 1958 in Santa Ana, California. The daughter of parents who originally came from North Dakota, Ms. Pfeiffer began her acting career in 1979 on television. She soon would move on to movies, and distinguished herself in the 1983 Al Pacino movie Scarface.
Fast forward nine years later, and Ms. Pfeiffer would be the first person in nearly a quarter century to play Catwoman. For the first time, we got to see a live-action portrayal of the character as Selina. Ms. Pfeiffer’s performance showed more sympathy to the character than had been the case in the past, and also a tragic side as well.
Michelle Pfeiffer’s acting career is still going. She appeared in the 2012 Dark Shadows movie, and in 2019, she appeared in Avengers: Endgame, another superhero movie. We wish her the best on this day!!!
