Six years already?!?
Yvonne Craig, who played Batgirl in the 1966 Batman series, passed away six years ago today. Hard to believe time has gone by, but so it goes. That year proved to be a sad time. as I was in the middle of moving out of the house I was living in because it got repossessed by the bank (and no, it wasn’t due to any problem on my end, the owner of the house was the one who lost it).
I actually met Yvonne twice, both in 2006: First in Detroit, at the Motor City Comic Con, and then at a convention in Liverpool, New York. The latter event was a terrific event, and we had a chance to talk. Also there was Yvonne’s sister, Meridel Carson.
Sadly, she lost her battle with cancer, but we still have her episodes. And the memories. And that way, she always remains with us!
