Six years to the day that we attended a certain comic con in Providence, we returned to the Rhode Island Comic Con. It has grown over the years, as witnessed by the fact that the venue covers two structures (as opposed to the one that was used in 2013 and 2014).

Overall, though, we felt distracted by too many outside concerns. Never mind that our friend Matches Malone was present. But maybe when a comic con is so heavy on celebrities, it tends to lose a little something. Over 10 years ago, when there were more performers attending who had been in such Sixties shows as Batman and The Twilight Zone, we felt more engaged.

In recent years, though, we see more actors and actresses who have acted in shows that recently aired, such as Gotham. Not that it’s a bad thing, but all we can think of is that cast members from such shows as Mad Men will soon end up on the circuit because their careers have stalled. And maybe it’s just simply that time is passing us by.

Anyway, we plan to have a page with pictures of the event soon.
