We’re sorry things have been at a standstill for some time, but life has gotten in the way, and it has not been easy. That said, I met up with Jen Bronzo and Tom Smith on Sunday, 3 December 2023 in Worcester, MA to get the ball rolling for the planned fan series. My money situation has been challenging, to say the least, but things are improving.
And we have plans.
The fan series will tentatively be named Bruce and Molly: The Adventures Continue. Depending on whom we are able to cast, the lead female role may end up as Carrie Kelley/Robin, Roberta the Girl Wonder or Selina Kyle/Catwoman. But the No. 1 choice is for Molly Post, who made her debut in the Batman comics in 1972. For us, it’s an idea worth looking at!
Much of the premise of the fan series is based on the 1966 Batman series. When I first began exploring this from a film standpoint in 2007, it had been 41 years since the show’s debut. As we approach 2024, it’s now almost six decades since the series first began airing, and so much has changed over the years. While we don’t plan to replicate that show, its lighter tone is still appreciated, and we plan to use humor in it. And there will be character development in it in a way that the Sixties show never had.
