Lee Meriwether with her daughter, stuntwoman Lesley Aletter, at the Holy Batvention, held in Teaneck, NJ in November 2011.

We here at Catfan’s Feline Fatale Follies want to extend this opportunity to wish everyone a blessed Easter holiday.

And we have sad news to report on.

A soap opera website reported late last month (which was repeated on Facebook today) that Lee Meriwether, who played Catwoman in the 1966 Batman movie, has been suffering from Alzheimer’s. Sadly, her daughter Kyle Oldham is sharing the same diagnosis. We first met Lee at the Motor City Comic Con in 2006, and found her to be very delightful. She kept on with her appearances, including the Holy Batvention comic-con held in November 2011 in Teaneck, New Jersey.  Apparently, Lee’s dementia was in its early stages as early as 2018.

In any event, this is indeed sad news. Prayers go out to Lee and to her family.
