Not officially Catwoman, this Selina definitely purrs!
The final installation of the Christopher Nolan/Christian Bale trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, surfaced in summer 2012. This time, Anne Hathaway stepped in to play the role of Selina, a cat burglar. Though the name of Catwoman isn’t mentioned, we know what’s really happening.
Just be prepared for one hell of a ride.
The story itself is a very satisfying end of a three-picture run, and the Bane villain is something else indeed. What’s gratifying is how Selina ends up being a real ally of the Dark Knight. The very end of the movie is also most telling!
Anne Hathaway reportedly based her portrayal on Hedy Lamarr, the original inspiration for the Catwoman character. Also, she had originally thought she was testing out for the role of Harley Quinn, but was very happy when she got the Feline Fatale role.
