Presaging the return of the Feline Fatale?
Mores were changing by August 1963, when Detective Comics #318 appeared. Here, Kathy Kane seems to have joined up with the Cat-Man. Of course, we know how it would all turn out.
However, the Batman franchise was in such serious trouble that DC Comics would revamp it in 1964. Right before the change, Kathy Kane would don the Cat-woman costume again to work undercover to undermine Cat-man.
These two issues offer an interesting little side note to the Catwoman saga (as well as Batwoman). Selina Kyle would have to wait until November 1966 to resurface in the comics, and Batwoman would have to wait over 40 years for her chance again.
