Catfan’s Feline Fatale Follies began on 14 August 2004 as a personal statement on Catwoman, the legendary Feline Fatale of Gotham City. From her introduction as “The Cat” in 1940, she has remained an interesting figure in Batman’s life. Absent for 12 years, she made a triumphant return to comics in 1966, and has never left us. Catwoman has also been a steady presence in television and movies as well, since she made her first appearance in March 1966. She continues to do so in different venues ranging from Saturday morning cartoons to fan films to major motion pictures. Go to a comic book store today, and you can get her current comic book, entitled Catwoman (of course). Her character was revamped in 2001, and she has truly evolved into a major comic book character in her own right. Speaking of the comics, we also celebrate some other ladies on this site as well.
