First henchwoman/moll for the Feline Fatale
Born: Philadelphia, PA, USA
The 1966 Batman series ran into uncharted waters when they introduced a Cat Girl in the episodes “The Cat’s Meow”/“The Bat’s Kow Tow.” However, Sharyn Wynters provided a memorable appearance.
And there is so much more.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Dr. Wynters (yes, she is a naturopathic doctor) became acquainted with music from the age of 4. She danced to American Bandstand as a kid, and then discovered jazz, which ultimately led to her other career, as a jazz singer.
Along the way, Dr. Wynters won the title of Miss Pennsylvania in the Miss World contest, and established a modeling, television and film career. Her role on Batman was her first. Her acting career lasted until 1974.
Since 2001, Dr. Wynters has been very active as a jazz singer, and works in the Los Angeles area. She has her own official site, as well as a presence on Facebook.
