Catwoman 2002

The first issue of the Catwoman comic of 2002, reissued as a Dollar Comic

Catwoman #24 was recently issued, and the Feline Fatale is looking as good as ever! What makes this issue interesting is both the explosive plot line, and the outfit she’s wearing. This time out, she has the same look from Batman: The Animated Series from the 1990s. The issue also serves as a precursor to her involvement in the Joker Wars, which is being fought in all the comic book titles.

While at That’s Entertainment in Worcester, Massachusetts, we also saw that the first issue of the third Catwoman comic book series had been reissued as a dollar comic. This is a special read for us, because of its history. In early 2002, the webmaster was in a bad situation while living and working in Rochester, New York. The 1966 Batman series had begun running again on TV Land, and for the first time, we wondered how the Feline Fatale was looking in the comics. When we saw what was going on with the character, and how Ed Brubaker and the late Darwyn Cooke had worked their special magic, we were hooked.

And that led to a chain of events that have led to the creation of this web site, three Batman fan films and many video blogs!
